We can plan and deliver a test campaign in any hydrodynamic test facility in the UK/EU and beyond.
Our home facility is the Wave-Towing Tank in the Ocean Systems Laboratory in Cranfield University where we can test concepts at their initial stage of development, quickly and at low cost.
The facility was commissioned in April 2011 by Lab-Sea-Systems founder, Florent Trarieux.
The facility is fully equipped with state-of-the art instrumentation and data acquisition systems to conduct in-depth experimental research campaigns. Fixed and floating structures can be tested in a wide range of wave conditions (mono/polychromatic). The towing carriage can reach 3.5 m/sec and features a tidal rotor test rig available for use at short notice. A towing post enables to conduct resistance and stability tests in calm waters and waves. Dynamic response tests of a ship/yacht in a seaway can also be undertaken.
